• The resident’s Christmas Dinner
was held on the 17th. Decorations of red, gold, and green
bejewelled every table as well as poinsettia and individual
placemats (made by the residents from old greeting cards).
On the menu: Roast turkey, glazed ham, potatoes, asparagus,
yams, peas and carrots and plum pudding with custard and strawberries
for dessert.
Sleigh bells could be heard after dinner letting everyone
know that Father Christmas was soon to arrive with all the
presents.
ACE training completed: Two more of our caregivers, Margaret
Aldous and Bina Nair, were presented with their ACE certificates.
Other festivities included:
• Blockhouse Bay Library’s Christmas Road-show.
Four library ladies came singing and joke-telling.
• Watching a DVD of Christmas Songs performed by the
crowd-favourite; Andre Rieu.
• Five performers from Amber’s Music Academy
in New Windsor played some delightful classical and modern
songs on the piano.
• We had another visit from Luka and Paris (wearing
red scarves with bells on) from the SPCA outreach.
