January 2010
Mother Divine Mercy Youth Group
We were serenaded by the Mother Divine Mercy Youth Group; twenty 13-17 year olds who sing harmonies in rest homes in their school holidays. Their rich harmonies give a ‘surround sound’ effect. The visit was very much appreciated.
Health and Safety
We are committed to the protection of our residents, staff and visitors and strive to have a safe and healthy and environment for everyone.
With the active involvement of the staff we are delighted to note that during all of the 2009 year we only had two staff accidents (one was a burn from the toaster the other was a strained arm).
Just to put it into perspective, in 2007 we had two accidents, in 2008 we had 1 and last year 2.
I wonder if we can get through 2010 with no accidents- wouldn’t that be great.
Survey for Quality Management

Recently we sent out a questionnaire to all families with residents at Peacehaven and we would like to share some of the feedback with you.
42 questionnaires were sent out and 12 were completed and sent back to us. A big thank you to those who returned the papers as it helps us identify where we need to improve our service to you and your family members.
Basically the questions posed gave five responses for you to select from (number 5 being positive and number 1 being negative).
We received:
126 responses classed 5;
79 responses classed 4;
2 responses 3;
8 responses classed 2;
0 responses classed 1.
(*Not everyone responded to all questions.)
Clearly, the overall standard provided by staff and management is in line with your expectations of what and how your family expect us to provide for your loved one.
However, there are some areas where we can improve in and we are addressing these now.
As we have no identification on who filled out the forms, we cannot discuss any concerns directly with you so please ring and talk to Ann or Alan about specific issues so that we can fix them for you.
It is not too late to send in your completed survey as we will add it to the responses and deal with any issues you raise.
