Festivities
| This
month has been one of continual festivities starting on the
20th of November with 130 friends and family sharing the evening
with residents.
The scary part of the evening was when the big bad wolf almost
got Little Red but luckily the woodchopper

came to the rescue and consigned Mr. Wolf to the kitchen to be
made into chop suey!
Thanks Ces, Lynn and Olive for starring in this version of Red
Riding Hood.
Lynn Walters entertained everyone with her singing while we enjoyed
the food that Carol and the Kitchen Team produced.

The second Christmas Dinner was on the 18th
of December which was the last time that everyone was together
before residents and staff went home and away for the Christmas
break. |
The dining room was given a new look for the day and after the
residents had enjoyed their meal; a surprise visit by Santa during
which he gave presents to everyone was enjoyed by the residents.
The staff on duty sat down together for a Christmas meal as well.
On Christmas day, we had only 19 residents for lunch as everyone
else had gone out for the day. Staff sat with the residents and
we all enjoyed a relaxed Christmas Dinner. We all love the food
that comes out of that kitchen, especially the individual Christmas
puddings with loads of real rum custard.

During the month, Frances had arranged for a variety of people
to come and entertain us; ranging from a youth group to Fiona a
singer from the USA who was accompanied on the flute by Rebekah.
Each and every one provided a different spark to the lives of our
residents and we are always grateful for the talents they share
with us.

Ann and Alan and the team hope that you all
had a relaxing Christmas and wish you all a positive new year
when your dreams can flourish.
A special thanks to our wonderful staff who work in such
a caring, loving way and provide the safe environment for
all our residents all year round.
